I like the cartoon illustrations, but when I started Hastily Scribbled up again, I still wanted to post comic-y comics, as well. Even after a few days, I realized daily drawings without focus were in danger of just becoming a string of funny animal drawings (I have a few I still haven't published, in fact.) So, over the last month, I thought it would be best if I decided to give myself a single, large, thematically-contained project to focus on. That project turned out to be a game -- sort of a mixture of point-and-click adventure and RPG.
I've been making a lot of lovely assets for this game as I go along, and it has occurred to me that I can use those assets to make comic strips without a whole lot of added labor. And, there's the added bonus of these comics hopefully helping to drive interest in the game as it progresses. Viable marketing strategy? I suppose we'll see. I'm really excited about this game. It's the most fun I've had creating something in a long time.

I'm considering re-inking and adding color to my old Hastily Scribbled comics, so that they line up a bit better with what I'm doing now. Sort of a remaster, I guess. Good idea? I'd love some input.
I'm figuring things out as I go along, and expect to make small shifts in my methods, especially now, early on in the process of making this new batch of cartoons. That stated, as invigorating as a schedule consisting of panicked 2am uploads is, I think I need to build up a small buffer. I'll be back to daily updates in a week.
Can I draw 300 cartoons in 2018? Now that I've typed the thought out into a fixed statement, I guess I'm bound to try.
I guess that means Hastily Scribbled will be updating pretty much daily from now on. The title is truer than ever.

My hand is still crippled, and I'm averaging about five views per upload right now. If ever there was a time for me to pause uploads until I can build up a healthy queue, now would be it. Better to do it before I actually have an audience.
I'll aim to start uploading again on the 1st of May, so look out for that.

My hand is a bit arthritic, and drawing is slow going right now. Unfortunately, I'll have to push today's update to Monday.
Thanks to new subscribers for giving Stalkers a shot! Over the course of the first dozen or so pages, you may notice the look artwork changing around, as I try to settle into methods and a style that works for the story I want to tell. I don't think I'm there yet, but I'm working behind the scenes to get to it. I probably should have done a bit more planning before jumping in, but this is a story that has been rattling around in my imagination for a long time. I hope things will coalesce pretty soon, and then we'll be off to the races!
Well, hey! I'm back with a new comic series! It's a gothy, grungy, fantasy/horror/comedy. It's called Stalkers of the Naked Gloom, and I hope folks check it out.
